i wrote this in someone's honesty box, because i love writing random things in honesty boxes...

once upon a time, there was a lovely lady named jen.  she lived in a house made of graham crackers and bamboo poles, with oyster shells tiling the roof.  one day, a pearl fell out of one of the oysters, and into jen's soup.  she said, "alas, my soup!  the pearl has infected you!  now i shall starve!"

but the soup said, "don't be a silly poof jenny-jen-jen-jennnnnnnnn!  it's a pearl!  there is nothing bad about it!  it merely wanted to be close to you!"

jen was a little surprised that her soup was talking to her, but she accepted it as her due.  she fished the pearl out, using a grain of sand as the bait, and sold the pearl on ebay for six hundred and forty three dollars.  however, the pearl did not want ot part from her, and so, in the dead of night, it switched places with her pet rhinoceros. 

the rhinoceros was pleased to be in the nice box that the pearl had been shipped in, but it did get terribly airsick on the way to hawaii, which was where the pearl was supposed to be shipped to.

when it landed in hawaii, it was delivered to the house of the buyer.  the buyer opened the box, and-

A bit lengthy, so it's all under the cut.  This was an assignment for Dimensions of Time.  We were supposed to write a story that showed what the world would be like without moveable clocks.

A contest entry from a while ago.  (I won first place!)  The prompt was to create a fictional creature, and then locate it in an underwater research facility.  The rest was up to us.

This is a tester entry, just to make sure this journal is working.  For those of you who haven't yet figured it out, this journal is the writing journal of sunny_rosa.  It will be updated fairly infrequently most likely, since I rarely actually finish things.  However, if you are interested in reading what I write, or just interested in being supportive, or interested in yelling at me to edit more, add me and I'll add you back.  Commence the journal.
